Hourly Care, 4+ Hour Visits

Four hours is the minimum number of hours that Care-on-Call provides in one shift. If you wish to send our care providers home without him/her finishing the 4-hour shift, you will still be charged the full 4-hour fee. Visits which last longer than 4 hours are charged only the hours or minutes as rendered. Care-on-Call believes that the best in-home care experience comes by maintaining consistency of the people who visit. As much as possible, we strive to keep the same caregivers who visit our clients as consistent as possible. However, there are circumstances out of our control when we have to temporarily place or permanently replace our visiting providers.

HOURLY CARE (8 Hours, 12 Hours or 24 Hours (Around the Clock) Care

This type of care is often for clients who require full assistance which include among others, hospice, advance dementia, bed ridden patients. This is billed at an hourly rate for the reason that caregivers are required to be alert and awake for the 24-hour care duration which means that caregivers are replaced every 8 hours or 12 hours, as the case maybe.

LIVE-IN CARE

A ‘live-in’ care is appropriate for clients who need company throughout the day. In this particular care, the client has around the clock in home help when needed but he/she has the personal space and autonomy as if he/she is living alone. With live-in care, constant work shifts is not required. Usually one caregiver will work for 4-5 days and another caregiver will work for the remaining days of the week
